About The Producer

The recording, editing and mixing of the sound for the Borders of Sleep podcast is done by Tim Wiles but his input goes beyond the technical. He inputs creatively to the project with timely suggestions for improvement and ideas for the future, he helps to choose the background music, keeps pushing the recording schedule, and monitors the all-important listening stats.

Tim's first foray into the world of mixing was at his local church back in 2000, when he was 13 years old. In the following few years he and some friends started a band and he became interested in the world of recording.

Tim has been regularly mixing and recording church services, plays, bands and more for the past 11 years, and now has moved on to podcasts. As a result, his current particular interest is in recording spoken word. He also enjoys playing the piano, drums, bass and flute as well as having a keen interest in technology.

In his spare time Tim is doing a full-time PhD in atomic physics: The Soliton Project.
