Moving in Mysterious Ways

Dear Listener,

What if this is all just a big game? And what if that big game is just a small part of another big game? Are we doomed forever to the narrow confines of what we believe can or can't be done? What happens when you start to question ... everything?

After a short interruption we are back with Episode 21 for you. A story that betrays my fascination with chess, and other things. Here, if you need it, is a direct link to the audio file.

The sound track for this weeks episode is from Distant City by Davide Viterbo on Magnatune. And ... that voice on the intro is the voice of my producer, Tim - so now you know what he sounds like. Nice work, Tim, thank you!

May all the happiness of the season be with you!

And ... sweet dreams ...

  1. Wonderful new episode about chess! As a chess player myself I found it intriguing to view the world theough the eyes of the pieces, and your story let me do that. I have only just figured out how to post feedback to this website, and I'd like you to know that I have been a tremendous fan of your stories since the very beginning. I regularly listen to them before I sleep, and they provide me a deep sense of calm and wonderment.
Why, though, did your sound manager Mr. Wiles change the wording of the introduction? It was so very well done before in my opinion.
I cannot thank you enough for your fantastic podcast. I will be waiting eagerly for the next story!
    All the best,
    Andrew

    1. Hey, Andrew,

Thank you so much for commenting and showing your appreciation. It is such a delight to hear back from a listener because, otherwise, it just feels as if the podcasts go out into a black hole.

The introduction was different on this episode because it had to be put together in different locations. We tend to record the story in one session and add the intro later when we know when it will be published. It was just a temporary fix because we had several weeks of not being in the same country.

Hopefully we'll be getting some more episodes out soon and will be back to our weekly schedule.

Sweet dreams and thanks for listening,

      Seymour.
